Caboolture Sports Football Club has scored two massive goals, announcing a zone change and earmarked location for a new, multi-million dollar premises.

The Club has returned to the Brisbane zone, following a hiatus of 20 years, as made possible with the recent relocation of zone boundaries. By changing from the Sunshine Coast to Football Brisbane zones, the Club can now compete in 2016 competitions of the metropolis and surrounds. This very recent transition from Sunshine Coast to Brisbane Football also represents the opportunity for the attraction of more teams and a greater diversity of skill level in its players.

Mr. Dwayne Sayers, President of the Caboolture Sports Football Club, has indicated the change would also allow for better retention of players who would sometimes move on to the bigger Brisbane competitions.

While plans are afoot to move headquarters to a chosen site at Burpengary, this will not be until 2018, allowing a lead-up time to garner broader community involvement while maintaining the continued good reputation of the Club for its focus on time and effort in training coaches.

By combining the new zone membership with the planned multi-million dollar facility at Burpengary, Club juniors will be able to progress in the SYL competition and see seniors segue into the Brisbane Premier League over the coming years.

Mr. Sayers indicated the departure from Sunshine Coast Football has been completely amicable with their understanding of the direction being taken by the Caboolture Sports Football Club.

Club membership of Juniors and Seniors, along with men’s and women’s categories is said to be robust with many stars in the making. One case in point is 18 year old striker Brenton Fox who was recently signed by Hyundai A-League club Western Sydney Wanderers to play in their National Youth League side. Having played in the Sunshine Coast Football Select XI v Football Brisbane Select XI, Fox was a stand-out for the then Sunshine Coast team.

The Caboolture Sports Soccer Club is comprised of the Management Committee, parents, volunteers and, importantly, players who are, once again, part of the Football Brisbane zone and confident of bringing the strongest of competition to next season’s table. The Caboolture Football (Soccer) Club is committed to keeping the Sport affordable for the community with registration fees being some of the lowest in the region and including all costs such as weekly game fees, coaching and the Club uniform.

From January 4, 2016, you are able to sign up with the Club through; http://www.myfootballclub.com.au/ and for more information visit the Club’s refreshed website www.caboolturefc.com.au
