Caboolture’s arrival into the Football Brisbane zone has created much buzz in recent weeks and as further proof that they don’t intend just to make up numbers, they have made the high profile signing of Steven Cleary from last season’s Brisbane Premier League Grand Final winners, Peninsula Power.

Caboolture Football Soccer Club Latest signing Steven Cleary

Cleary was Power’s second highest scorer in 2015 with seven goals from twenty-one matches. Showing what he is capable of in big matches, three of those goals came during the finals including scoring twice in the 2-1 knockout semi-final win against Mitchelton. He also provided the assist for the lone and winning goal in the Grand Final.

If his time in the lower leagues in 2013/14 is any indication, goals will rain. When playing for Redcliffe PCYC in Capital 2 and 3 during that period, he found the net 43 times in 42 games.

It marks a reunion for Cleary and his 2016 coach, Nathan Walker. The pair previously played together for a period at Power.
